  • With a security deposit of $250, we will hold your date for 7 days. We’ll work with you during those 7 days to be sure you feel confident in your decision to host an event at Move, at which point we ask you to sign our agreement with 50% payment. Thank you for understanding that we want to be fair to everyone trying to book their favorite dates.

  • Absolutely! We encourage you to bring business from our talented business owners in Loudoun County but you are welcome to bring any vendor that will make your event a huge success. We will require their contact numbers in a list before the event for licensing and insurance. We have a few rules for safety such as no frying and using chafing dishes for warming.

  • Of course! Please be sure to clean up completely and avoid confetti, slime, glitter or anything else that will leave maddening little remnants or we'll have to charge an extra cleaning fee. You're welcome to use light adhesives on the walls as long as they don't leave behind a mark.

  • We have a public parking garage behind us that is very reasonably priced (and sometimes free!) as well as many other parking options within walking distance. We will share a map with you for your guests.

  • Due to the historic nature of our space, we are unable to accommodate ADA requirements. There are stairs that lead to the main floor. Please ask us for other great Loudoun County options! We love to recommend our neighbors.

  • Things happen! When they do, please let us know as soon as possible. While we try to be flexible, please understand we've held that date especially for you. If you provide a written request 30 days+ of the event, a $200 fee will be applied and new available date determined. If within 30 days, the fee is $500 applied to the new date.

  • If we cancel due to building issues, we'll refund all payments received.

    If you move the date, please see our postponement policy.

    If you cancel completely, unfortunately we cannot fully refund your payment to date.

  • One day licenses are required from the Virginia Department of Alcoholic and Beverage Control: Special Event Licenses. The department has information and application forms available online. Please visit the website to review what is needed. It looks like they provide their information and pay a fee (about $40 - $45). According to the website, it takes about 7 - 10 days to obtain.

    If you are bringing your own alcohol versus officially "serving" it, these are the rules:

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF RENTER AND GUESTS. The Renter and Guests must adhere to the following: 

    1. No alcoholic beverages may be given to or consumed by any person whom you know or have reason to believe is intoxicated*. 

    2. No person whom you know or have reason to believe is intoxicated* may remain on the premises. 

    3. No alcoholic beverage may be given to, or consumed by any person whom you know or have reason to believe is less than 21. 

    4. You may not be intoxicated* or under the influence of a self-administered drug during the event. 

    5. No one less than 18 years of age may serve or dispense any alcoholic beverage.

    6. Alcoholic beverages must be confined to the building, room or general area being rented.

    *A person may be deemed intoxicated when it is apparent from observation that he/she has drunk enough alcoholic beverages to affect his/her manner, disposition, speech, muscular movements, general appearance or behavior

  • MOVE has easy to move furniture adorning our space so. you can easily create your own vision. As part of the space rental we have 10 rectangle tables, 25 comfortable chairs, as well as decor and furniture for our seating areas. Caterers frequently bring additional furniture and we encourage you to talk with them or your rental company about your specific needs. Choose to bring your own vendors or work with us to hire our preferred vendors for a wonderful experience.
